Debby Steacy Tribute Fund

We are sad to announce the sudden passing of our wife, mother and friend. DEBBY STEACY passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 22nd in Lethbridge. Debby is survived by her husband Graham, her sons Jim (Brittany) and Sean (Ashley) and her daughter Heather, all of Lethbridge. She is also survived by her parents Art and Shirley Borzel and her brother Andy Borzel, all of Calgary.

Debby was a successful athlete in a variety of sports including track and field, fastball and basketball, enjoying success as a student athlete at the University of Saskatchewan and also on a national level. As proud as she was of her many athletic accomplishments, her greatest pride and joy were her children. She was always there for them, offering encouragement to each of them whatever their endeavours.

As a volunteer Debby spent countless hours working with Operation Red Nose and other activities in support of the student athletes who were members of the U of L Pronghorns. When her family was younger she was actively involved with their many school activities, as well as instilling in them a great sense of pride in pursuing their educations.

Debby made friends wherever she went and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially by her cats.

At Debby’s request there will be no funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Debby’s memory to the Orthopaedic Department at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, would be appreciated.
