Lee Hargrave Tribute Fund

LEE HARGRAVE, beloved husband of Karen, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the age of 65, surrounded by his family.
Besides his loving wife Karen, Lee is survived by his son, Aaron Hargrave; his daughter Leah (Ryan) Moser; a grandson, Maddox Moser; a sister Marsha (Larry) Jordan; brothers-in-law; Bob Simpson, Ian Higa, Allan (Shirley) Higa, and Doug Higa as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
Lee was predeceased by his beloved parents Marshall and Vivian Hargrave; a sister, Diann Simpson and his in-laws, Shucho and Yeiko Higa.
Lee was born to Marshall and Vivian in Lucky Lake, SK where he was raised until the age of 11. Along with his parents and his two sisters, Lee moved to Lethbridge. In 1974, he married his wife Karen to whom he was a loving husband to for over 41 years. He began his career with the City of Lethbridge where he was employed for 42 years. In 1979, Lee and Karen had their son Aaron, followed by their daughter Leah in 1981.
Lee had a love for life and his humorous and charismatic personality was infectious to all. Most of Lee’s days were devoted to spending time with his family. He enjoyed bike rides with them and trips to the park, watching his son’s hockey and baseball games, and attending his daughter’s dance recitals together with his wife. If he wasn’t at home or at work, you would find Lee down at the pool hall, where he was not only an amazing player, but an incredible mentor to anyone who shared his love for the game. He played in numerous tournaments all over Alberta but especially looked forward to the annual tournament held in Vegas.
In his final days, much of Lee’s time was spent at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital, where you would always find him in the loving presence of family. Words cannot express our deep gratitude to the doctors, nurses and all the support staff that made Lee’s stay comfortable.
You are invited to attend a Celebration of Lee’s Life on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, 324 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, Alberta.
In lieu of flowers and koden, donations can be made in Lee’s name to the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation, 960 – 19 Street South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 1W5, or a charity of your choice.
