Sueno Ikeda Tribute Fund

September 7, 1913 September 28, 2007 SUENO IKEDA passed away on Friday, September 28, 2007 at the age of 94. Sueno was predeceased by her husband, Yoshio, grandson Bill Ward, great granddaughter Jennifer, and sonin-law Paul Liska. Sueno is survived by: Lena (Len) Ward, Lilly (Jim) Tsujita, Ruth Liska, John Ikeda; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren. Mom was born in Mission City, BC on September 7, 1913. She spent some of her childhood being educated in Japan. In 1942, Mom, Dad and their family were evacuated to Southern Alberta. She worked along side Dad raising crops of potatoes and vegetables. In 1964 Mom and Dad moved to Lethbridge. At the age of 50, Mom entered Garbutt Secretarial School. Mom retired after working 14 years with the Provincial Government, in the area of Social Services. Mom enjoyed many years of retirement: tending to her garden; enjoying her independence; working on her many crafts. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the LETHBRIDGE BUDDHIST TEMPLE, 1303-13 Street North, with Rev. Y. Izumi officiating. Koden and flowers are gratefully declined.
