Clifford King Tribute Fund

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the death of CLIFFORD WELLESLEY KING on May 25, 2006 in Lethbridge, Alberta at the age of 84 years. Clifford was born on October 3, 1921 in Three Hills, Alberta. He graduated in 1943 with a diploma in Pharmacy from the University of Alberta and following two years of service as an Officer Pilot in the R.C.A.F., practiced his profession in Vegreville until his semi-retirement in 1971. He worked as a relief pharmacist in the Lethbridge area until 1986. Clifford will be remembered as a most loving and generous husband, father and grandfather with a unique sense of humor and sharp wit. He was well respected for his management capabilities, business ethics, and sense of fair-play. He traveled extensively, and photographed many wonderful countries and their people. He enjoyed sports, including baseball, hockey, golf, curling and was an avid bridge player. Clifford is survived by his loving wife Monica and her family; 3 children Sheelagh (Ken) McCourt, Craig (Susan) King and Brent (Linda) King; 14 grandchildren Mark, Kerri, Kim and Ryan McCourt, Jamie and Cheryl King, Lori LaFrance, Terri Demers, Traci Tessier, Debbi Barber, Kristi, Kevin, Jason and Marci King; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Norman (Evelyn) and Gordon King; 2 sisters Eva (Donald) Dau and Irene McDonald; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Clifford was predeceased by his first wife, Kathleen, 2 grandsons Steven King and Jon McCourt, brother Milton and sister Marjorie.
