HALL DR. ROBERT GEORGE HIBBERD HALL died peacefully at home on December 5, 2009 at the age of 91 years. Bob was born in Ipswich during a zeppelin raid. He studied medicine in London during the blitz, where he first met Liz, and served in Burma during the last years of the war. After the war he specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology, preferring to give life rather than dealing with death. In 1958 he emigrated with his family to Lethbridge, where he practiced for more than 30 years with the Campbell Clinic, bringing several generations into this world. His dedication to his patients was unparalleled. Bob was committed to community and church, volunteering for Hip Hip Hooray, the Helen Schuler Advisory Committee and St. Augustine's vestry. Physically active to the end, Bob enjoyed swimming and walking his dog. Passionate about nature, Bob was an avid hiker, photographer and traveler, which took him to many parts of the world. Predeceased by Elizabeth, his loving wife of 40 years, Bob was a loving figure to his three children Michael Hall, Alison Earle and Jacky Hall-Buckland, his daughter-in-law Nadia, his two sons-in-law, Harry and Gary, his five grandchildren Rebecca and Alec Hall, Erin (Aaron) Dunbar, Stephen and David Buckland and his two great grandchildren Micah and Rowan Dunbar. Uncompromisingly true to his ideals he was a true English gentleman and a very gentle Englishman. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
