Kiyoshi Moriyama Tribute Fund

MORIYAMA KIYOSHI MORIYAMA, beloved husband of Kay Moriyama, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital with his family at his side on April 17, 2011 at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his wife Kay and children Calvin and Janice. He is also survived by his siblings Tash (Jean) Moriyama and Fumi Tamagi and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and their families. He is predeceased by his father Toyoki and mother Haru, brothers Naoto, Masao, Nup and Harpo and sisters Dori and Momoyo. Kiyo was born in Mission City, BC and was evacuated to Alberta in 1942. He married Kay in 1950 and worked on the sugar beet farms in Southern Alberta. Ultimately he purchased the farm in Picture Butte and worked there until his retirement to Lethbridge in 1993. After retirement, he enjoyed gardening, golfing daily and travelling with the family. At Kiyo’s request, a private family service was held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011.
