Care From The Heart Radio-a-thon
Our Annual Care from the Heart Radio-a-thon is taking place Thursday, February 11th from 7am - 6pm. Throughout the day, our six (amazing and generous!) local radio stations chat on air with doctors and nurses, administrators of the hospital, and patients to share personal stories of the impact that donations made to the CRH Foundation have in our community. The generosity of our donors is felt throughout the hospital, in every department, on every floor and in the care of our patients.
A massive THANK YOU goes out to all the radio stations who champion this day, B93.3FM, 106.7 Rock, 94.1CJOC, Country95.5FM, 98.1 2day FM, and KISS 107.7. These stations proudly donate their airtime, not only on event day, but in the time leading up to as well to help generate buzz throughout our Southern Alberta community .
Donations will be used in part to fund strategically identified equipment, programs and educational opportunities for our local hospital and health care professionals, helping bring the best of care close to home.
Care from the Heart Day brings our community together and every dollar donated adds up to a remarkable total. The funds raised in one day helps the Chinook Regional Hospital provide outstanding care throughout the year. Since the very first Radio-a-thon ten years ago, we can proudly share that over $2,000,000 has been raised.
If you have any questions, would like further information or would like to arrange a time for a cheque presentation at Care from the Heart Day, please email Shonna Lamb, Development Coordinator at: firstname.lastname@example.org
To our past supporters of Care from the Heart Day, thank you. We sincerely appreciate your generous contributions.

Record Breaking Care from the Heart Radio-a-thon!
Lethbridge – The Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation held its Annual Care from the Heart Day Radio-a-thon on Thursday, February 13th and is pleased to announce that over $352,000 has been raised thus far – far surpassing their goal of $250,000.
According to Executive Director, Jason VandenHoek, Care from the Heart Day continues to be a success because of the generous citizens of Southern Alberta. “We are once again thankful for the outstanding support of our community. Because of this support, we can continue to ensure that the best of care is available at the Chinook Regional Hospital.”
Organizers of the event were surprised when Costco Wholesale Lethbridge, added an additional $100,000 to their donation, for a grand total of $189,740. “Because we exceeded our fundraising goal and saw the biggest increase in funds raised of all stores in Western Canada, Costco Lethbridge was awarded an additional $100,000 by Costco Canada to support the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation” says Bryan Storey, Membership Supervisor, with Lethbridge’s Costco. “We can’t thank our members enough for their support!”
During the Radio-a-thon, six local radio stations broadcast live from the atrium of the Chinook Regional Hospital, encouraging listeners to make a donation. KiSS 107.7,106.7 Rock, Country 95.5, B-93.3, 94.1 Juice FM and 2Day FM 98.1 all participated.
Once again at the helm of the Care from the Heart Radio-a-thon was Bob Balog, Honorary Chair. “My family, just like yours, has utilized the services of the Chinook Regional Hospital. We will all continue to experience the best of care thanks to the many generous donations that were received during Care from the Heart. I am humbled and thank everyone for their support.”
Proceeds from the event will be used to support the ongoing renovation and redevelopment of the mental health area at Chinook Regional Hospital.
