George Klimow Tribute Fund

GEORGE KLIMOW, beloved husband of 64 years to Frieda Klimow, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, May 13, 2019 at the age of 88 years.
Besides his loving wife, George is survived by his children, Vic (Sherry) Klimow, George Klimow Jr. and Heidi Klimow, as well as his grandchildren, Jonathan, Stacie, Brett, Jason and Sam Klimow.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jakob & Maria Klimow and his sister, Sina Vipond.
George was born in Karma, Belarus on May 20, 1930. He moved with his family to Frankfurt, Germany in 1942 then to Canada in 1949 when he was 18 years old. For the first few years in Canada, he worked on a sugar beet farm with his family. He then transitioned to working as a salesman for T-Eton Company, where he stayed for 18 prosperous years. George met Frieda in Lethbridge and began raising their family. He eventually left T-Eton Company to work on his own as a floor layer until his retirement. In his spare time, George loved to garden and read. He was also a faithful member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.
A Memorial Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Lee Loveridge officiating.
