Mr Steve Raz of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Mrs Joyce Ann Raz, passed away at Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the age of 88 years. Steve was predeceased by his parents Stephen and Veronika Raz, brother Zolton (“Oly”) and sister Olga. Steve was born, raised and retired in Lethbridge. He was an active member of the Paradise Canyon Golf Course and strived to “shoot his age” up until his passing. Steve and Joyce worked hard and enjoyed their business partnership in Bio-Temp Scientific (designing and manufacturing controlled environmental chambers). Steve obtained his BA in Economics, Political Science from Michigan State University. Hockey was an important part of Steve’s life and he loved playing for the Michigan State Spartans (1951-55), Medicine Hat Tigers (1950-51), and the Lethbridge Native Sons (1947-49; who were Western Canadian Champions in 1948-49). A Celebration Of Steve’s Life will take place in the Fall. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made in Steve’s name to the Michigan State University Spartan Fund (Hockey Program), 550 S. Harrison Rd., East Lansing, MI 48823 OR Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation, 960 – 19 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 1W5
