Care from the Heart Radio-a-thon Surpasses Goal of $230,000!
Lethbridge – The Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation held its 9th Annual Care from the Heart Radio-a-thon on Thursday, February 15th and is pleased to announce that $233,622.00 has been raised thus far - surpassing their goal of $230,000.
According to Executive Director, Jason VandenHoek, Care from the Heart Day continues to be a success because of the generous citizens of Southern Alberta. “We are once again thankful for the outstanding support of our community. Because of this support, we can continue to ensure that the best of care is available at the Chinook Regional Hospital.”
During the Radio-a-thon, six local radio stations broadcast live from the atrium of the Chinook Regional Hospital, encouraging listeners to make a donation. KiSS 107.7,106.7 Rock, Country 95.5, B-93, 94.1 CJOC and 98.1 The Bridge all participated.
Once again at the helm of the Care from the Heart Radio-a-thon was Bob Balog, Honorary Chair. “My family, just like yours, has utilized the services of the Chinook Regional Hospital. We will all continue to experience the best of care thanks to the many generous donations that were received during Care from the Heart. I am humbled and thank everyone for their support.”
Proceeds from the event will further propel special projects, equipment and programming to support their continuous drive to maintain the highest standards of treatment and care in our community.
