The Foundation
The Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation
For example, the foundation has purchased specific surgical equipment for ambulatory and inpatient patients at Chinook Regional Hospital.
At the same time, they have enhanced the equipment used by home care, public health and ambulatory rehabilitation
teams who help individuals avoid hospitalization or are recently discharged from hospital.
The foundation has also aided many clinical team wellness supports including Schwartz Rounds, led International
Women’s Day celebrations, and helped our teams launch a new computerized charting system.
Finally, the foundation has boldly embraced a transformative vision to support enhanced cardiac care in southern Alberta.”

This innovative device provides a non-invasive way to measure bilirubin levels in newborns and other patients, offering results quickly and painlessly.
“Before jaundice meters, the best practice to get a result would be a blood draw, so like a heel poke on a baby – which isn’t always the easiest to do, so this technology improves patient care even for our smallest patients!”
