Care From the Heart Radiothon Surpasses Goal of $230,000!

February 12, 2016

Lethbridge – The Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation held its 7th Annual Care From the Heart Radiothon on Thursday, February 11th and is pleased to announce that over $246,000 has been raised - surpassing their goal of $230,000.

According to Executive Director, Jason VandenHoek, Care From the Heart Day continues to be a success because of the generous citizens of Southern Alberta. “We are once again thankful for the outstanding support of our community.  Because of this support, we can continue to ensure that the best of care is available at the Chinook Regional Hospital.”

During the Radiothon, six local radio stations broadcast live from the atrium of the Chinook Regional Hospital, encouraging listeners to make a donation.  107.7 The River, Rock 106, Country 95.5, B-93, 94.1 CJOC and The Bridge 98.1 all participated.

Once again at the helm of the Care From the Heart Radiothon was Bob Balog, Honorary Chair.  “My family, just like yours, has utilized the services of the Chinook Regional Hospital.  We will all continue to experience the best of care thanks to the many generous donations that were received during Care From the Heart.  I am humbled and thank everyone for their support.”

Proceeds from the event will further propel special projects, equipment and programming to support their continuous drive to maintain the highest standards of treatment and care in our community.
