National Indigenous History Month

June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada, a time to recognize the rich history, heritage, resilience and diversity of First Nations, Inutit, and Métis.

We would like to acknowledge thatr our work takes place on historical and contemporary Indigenous lands, including the territories of Treaty 6, Treaty 7 & Treaty 8 and the homeland of the Métis Nation within Alberta and 8 Metis Settlements. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous communities that have been forged in urban centres across Alberta.

June is Men's Health Month!

We want to take this opportunity to remind men everywhere to take care of themselves, body and mind!

It's not a surprise to most people that a large population of us tend to put health issues at the bottom of the priority list - but with awareness and a whole lot of reminders just maybe that can change!

Even small actions can have a big impact in preventing many chronic diseases - such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and even some types of cancer.
