May 2, 2022

More than $1.6 million raised for healthcare services in Southern Alberta over the past 25 years.

After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 25th annual Val Matteotti Italian Open is returning! The event will tee off at a safe distance at the Lethbridge Country Club on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, with all proceeds going to the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation.

To date, the event has raised over $1.6 million for the Foundation, supporting state-of-the-art equipment purchases, special projects, and programs.

"After two years of cancellations, we are very excited for the Val Matteotti Italian Open to return," said Allan Bartolcic, Executive Director of the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation. "As we take steps to return to normal, we couldn't be more thankful to our sponsors and participants for their continued support in raising funds for much-needed healthcare services in our community."

The Organizing Committee and the Staff and Board of Directors of the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation are committed to fostering a safe tournament environment. To reduce the risk of catching or spreading illness, we ask attendees to be respectful and considerate of the safety protocols implemented at the golf course. We also ask that golfers stay home and send a replacement if they feel sick.
