[Lethbridge, Alberta, November 24th, 2022] — After two years of cancellations, the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation returned for the 28th Annual Christmas Tree Festival presented by Stringam LLP, which took place at the Lethbridge ENMAX Centre from November 20th – 23rd, 2022.

The fabulous event wrapped up on Wednesday, November 23rd, with an enchanting Gala and Auction. All of the incredible trees and wreaths, as well as a number of other silent auction items, were auctioned off by Balog Auction Services Inc.

This year, the event raised a remarkable $170,000 for the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation, which directly and richly impacts health care in our community. All of the proceeds from the Christmas Tree Festival will stay here, at home, in Lethbridge.

Allan Bartolcic, Executive Director at the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation. “Thank you, Southern Alberta! Incredible community support once again; the monies raised at this event will assist the Foundation in providing financial support in purchasing vital equipment and items not covered by government funding as well as funding major projects.”

During this year’s four-day Festival, the ENMAX Centre was transformed into a whimsical Winter Wonderland by caring hearts and hands, featuring beautifully decorated trees, festive activities, and a glitzy Gala – all made possible thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our sponsors.

Over 4,000 people and families attended the festivities, including the Free Public Viewing Days, Family Skate Night, Gala and Auction, and let’s not forget the volunteers. They helped make the holiday festival very enjoyable. Altogether, there were 25 items up for bid, including 19 trees, each decorated and sponsored by local businesses, individuals and community groups.
