Lights of Hope Shines Bright in 2023, Supporting Chinook Regional Hospital's Critical Needs

December 7, 2023

LETHBRIDGE, AB — The Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation is thrilled to announce the return of its annual Lights of Hope campaign, poised to brighten the atrium of the Chinook Regional Hospital, and bring warmth to hearts this holiday season.

In the spirit of giving, Lights of Hope invites individuals to join in creating meaningful moments—donating in memory of loved ones or paying tribute to the unsung heroes of the hospital. Beyond a simple act of generosity, these heartfelt contributions directly address the most urgent needs of the Chinook Regional Hospital, with proceeds raised providing critical healthcare resources.

Sherri Odland, Interim Executive Director at the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation, emphasized the impact of every contribution, stating, “Every donation is a beacon of hope. It brings cutting-edge healthcare to our doorstep, ensuring that excellence in care becomes a gift shared by the entire community. As a donor, you are truly making a difference—for your loved ones, for the community, and for those who need it most.”

In 2022, the Lights of Hope Campaign raised over $150,000 making it one of the organizations most significant annual fundraisers. These funds are instrumental in supporting essential hospital programs, contributing to the success of projects like the Inpatient Psychiatry and Psychiatric Assessment (PAN) teams.

And, while PAN was just one highlight of previous campaigns, this year, Lights of Hope is focusing on broader hospital needs. Donations will play a vital role in providing state-of-the-art healthcare equipment, supporting essential programs, and facilitating high-needs projects that contribute to critical care.

Please consider contributing to Lights of Hope this holiday season and help us meet the critical needs of Chinook Regional Hospital. Donations can be made until December 31st. For more information and to donate, please visit: www.crhfoundation.ca

Your generosity to the Chinook Regional Hospital has and will continue to make a significant impact on patient care in Southern Alberta. Thank you for being a beacon of hope and support!

Remembrance Day 2024

On this Remembrance Day, we honor the brave people who have served and continue to serve our country.

Let's take a moment to remember their sacrifice and courage. Wishing you all a day filled with gratitude, love, and appreciation for our heroes.

CRHF Funded | Jaundice Meters

This innovative device provides a non-invasive way to measure bilirubin levels in newborns and other patients, offering results quickly and painlessly.

“Before jaundice meters, the best practice to get a result would be a blood draw, so like a heel poke on a baby – which isn’t always the easiest to do, so this technology improves patient care even for our smallest patients!”

Connie Hoffart | Laboratory Technologist | Point of Care Testing (POCT)
